Korn Ferry "Decisive" Simulation
An online decision-making and integrity assessment simulation.
OUR OBJECTIVE
To create a gameplay experience that serves as a decision-making simulation and integrity assessment tool
Inspired by the Kobayashi Maru - a training exercise in the Star Trek franchise designed to test the character of Starfleet Academy cadets in a no-win scenario - global organisational consulting firm Korn Ferry wanted to create a one-of-a-kind assessment tool for a client in the financial services industry in Indonesia that incorporates two integrity frameworks. We created an online decision-making and integrity assessment simulation that can be easily managed and rolled out.
OUR STRATEGY
To create a narrative-based decision-making simulation and integrity assessment tool.
THE OUTCOME
A carefully-concealed simulation which includes assessment questions that used game elements and engaging storytelling, allowing for more honest and candid answers from participants.
Players can either play solo or in teams of up to six (6) people to follow different storylines filled with various scenarios and mini games, requiring them to make a series of decisions leading to different outcomes.
Some gamified elements included:
Mini games
Timers
Interactive environmental elements e.g. drag and drop, click
Multiple decision trees and outcomes
Points and reputation system
Live assessment database
